Motorcycle Cleaning how to section
Here are some tips on motorcycle cleaning. First you will want to make sure the engine is not hot. I recommend putting a plastic bag over your carburetor, to protect it from water. Start by treating the wheels with motorcycle spoke wheel cleaner. If it is a chrome wheel use the appropriate cleaner, and the same goes for an aluminum or polished wheel. If you have spokes, a good way to clean them is by using a 2 inch strip of teri-cloth material, about a foot in length and wrap it around one time and then pull it to the left and right you will be able to clean each spoke individually. Then get your bucket, soap and wash mitt and start on the tank area. Remember do not use dish soap. Dish soap will cut the wax and dull the finish. After the tank area do the handle bars and mirrors. Then do the fenders and finish up around the motor and trans. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a microfiber towel. When polishing your motorcycle you will want to take it slow. Some areas on the motorcycle will be difficult to get to. Hand wax your motorcycle, using a thin coat in a circular motion. After wiping off the polish with our polishing cloth treat the leather and tires. Use our tire shine and vinyl dressing product here.
